About the instructor

Meet Juliette

Juliette Kasdorf, NK Swim's instructor, smiling outdoors in a pink cap

Hi! I'm Juliette, the founder and instructor behind North K Swim.

I'm passionate about swimming, working with children, and helping young swimmers develop confidence and essential water-safety skills.

I started North K Swim because I wanted to create a more personalized and enjoyable swimming-lesson experience for families. Over the past two summers, I've had the opportunity to teach more than 75 children, and I've loved watching their skills and confidence grow.

My goal is to help every child build skills that last a lifetime while creating positive memories in the water. I'm so excited to be part of your child's swimming journey!

Your first lesson

What to bring

  • Swimsuit (and swim diaper for little ones)
  • Towel and a warm layer for after
  • Goggles if you have them
  • Long hair tied back or a swim cap

When to arrive

Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to change and meet your instructor. Lessons start and end on time so the next group can get in.

Nervous swimmer?

Totally normal. Let us know when you book and we'll take it slow — nobody is ever pushed into deep water before they're ready.

Questions

How do I know which level to book?

Tell us your swimmer's age and what they can do now (put their face in, float, swim a width, etc.) and we'll suggest a level. The first lesson doubles as an assessment.

What if we miss a lesson?

Let us know as early as you can. We'll do our best to offer a make-up time when one is available.

Do parents stay on deck?

Yes — parents are welcome to watch. For the preschool program a parent may be in the water for the youngest swimmers.

How do the lessons work?

You choose one time for one week. Your child has a 45-minute lesson at that time every day, Monday to Friday — five lessons in a row, which builds skills and confidence fast.

How many swimmers are in a time slot?

Each time slot belongs to one group, so your child gets the instructor's full attention. Friends or siblings can share the slot.

What does it cost?

$195 for one child, or $150 per child sharing the same slot, for the week of five 45-minute lessons.

Splash Dash

A little game for our swimmers — help Goggles, the NK Swim fish, hop over crabs, rocks and seaweed, and see if you can make the Top 10!
